Receive SIP calls for remote radio shows, media tours and podcast interviews, with this simple IP codec. Just connect to an audio mixer with mix-minus configured. It can also be used with a microphone* and headphones.
* Note: The mic pre-amp may not be suitable for some dynamic or low-sensitivity microphones, or for high performance applications.
The XLR SIP Codec from In:Quality connects to your existing internet connection and allows you to receive calls in full studio quality, thanks to its use of the Opus codec. It can be shipped pre-configured with your own unique sip.audio address, and also can function as a phone hybrid, without needing a physical line. Simply plug it in, and wait for a call.
The simplest way to use this device is in auto-answer mode. It’s also possible to control the device using a keyboard, mouse, and HDMI monitor, or by discovering its IP address using a nearby computer.
Which radio stations can I connect with? |
---|
Find SIP enabled radio stations on our SIP Studio Map. An easy way for radio stations to call SIP codecs, is to dial the SIP address from the dial pad in ipDTL. |
Can I make outbound SIP calls? |
---|
As the name suggests, the XLR SIP Codec ‘Zero’ is designed to be ‘zero configuration’. It arrives pre-configured, and the user simply switches the microphone on for calls, and off when privacy is required. Technically savvy users can access it through its IP address from a nearby computer, or attach a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Outbound calls can be established using these methods. |
Can I connect the USB SIP Codec to the internet using wifi? |
---|
Wi-Fi or mobile broadband are the most common causes of radio interviews dropping off. To ensure reliability, our SIP Codecs connect to your broadband router using a physical cable. Most wifi routers have ethernet sockets on the back. You can use an extra long ethernet cable, or ‘Powerline’ adaptors where cable routing is not an option. |
